PLG Open CS:GO 2018 Results

With more than 500 teams participating across 40 nationalities, only 8 teams made it through to the PLG Grand Slam in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi through the Open Regional Qualifiers.

Starting from Asia,

the 1st team to qualify were team 5Power. A team composed of 3 Chinese and 2 Mongolian players. They managed to defeat Storm Riders, a full 5-man squad from Mongolia in the Final with a score of 2-1.

The 2nd Asian team to qualify was from the Middle East. Team Bluuuud’s experience in the Middle Eastern region gave them an advantage over their opponent, Team MYF, in the final as they won 2-1.

The 3rd Asian team to qualify was the Singaporean team, BOOT.dS. Considered one of the best teams in South East Asia, they faced team BEYOND from Thailand and proved to have a strong map pool which helped in defeating the Thai’s 2-1.


Moving to Africa and Levant,

The 4th team to qualify was from North Africa, specifically team guccixD. With a mixture of Moroccan and Tunisian players, they defeated team COMIX in the final thanks to the heroic performance of FejtZ.

From the Americas,

Starting with North America, team INTZ, a full Brazilian squad living in the United States managed to win over team FURIA, another full Brazilian squad, in a pure Brazilian match-up.

Moving to South America, team YGSharks, another Brazilian squad that mainly lives in Portugal, traveled to Brazil to compete in qualifier and their risk came with success as they qualified over another Brazilian squad, Detona in a breath-taking final

Moving on to Oceania,

The clear favorites from Australia, Grayhound, had no trouble winning the qualifier by defeating their fellow countrymen, team Order in the final with a score of 2-0 as they dominated the competition.

And finally, Europe,

With more than 250 teams signed up, only 2 teams made it through to the final. The Russian squad, ForZe versus the Ukrainians, Windigo Academy. It was a very close match-up but ForZe came in prepared and hungry for the victory.


8 total teams from all over the world qualified to the PLG Grand Slam which was held in the Du Forum at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi in December 2018.
