What’s the difference between this tournament series and the international league known as the Call of Duty World League?

The Call of Duty World League is an eSports league operated by Activision and Major League Gaming. The Call of Duty World League season consists of several major competitive events and a CWL Pro League season, all leading up to the Call of Duty World League Championship 2018 in the fall.

Our tournament is a standalone tournament for the region, which will be only available to teams of 5 (including a stand-in) all aged 18+, from 8 MENA countries which have to be legal resident (with valid Residency Visa or Country ID) or nationals citizens of Jordan / Lebanon / Egypt / Kuwait / KSA / UAE / Bahrain / Oman. This tournament won’t be linked to the Call of Duty World League

Where do I watch the tournaments online?

Most matches of the online and LAN tournaments in the Middle East will be live streamed for free on the PLG Twitch Channel via http://www.twitch.tv/plg. The Call of Duty World League tournaments will be live streamed for free on the Call of Duty World League site at www.callofduty.com/CWL and on www.MLG.tv/callofduty.

Can I attend events in person?

The PLG Nationals with Call of Duty: WWII Tournament Series qualifications and regional finals will be hosted online. Please refer to the tournament schedule page on our site for more update

Who can compete in this league?

For the online qualifier of the tournament, it will be open to teams based and residing in the following 8 different countries: Jordan / Lebanon / Egypt / Kuwait / KSA / UAE / Bahrain / Oman. Teams need to represent one country and can be a mix of different players from different countries, as long as they are one of the 8 listed ones.

In general all players in each team need to have their own PlayStation 4 console with valid PSN Plus subscription and a copy of Call of Duty: WWII, to be a national or official resident of any of those 8 countries (with valid residency papers) and are eligible to fly to Dubai (has a passport with a validity of more than a year) potential for a later stage tournament or PLG Pro Tour (To be confirmed). The age is STRICTLY 18+ years old of age for all members of a team to be eligible to compete in this tournament.

One of our team members is almost 18 years old. Can he participate?

Sadly the age restriction is as per the CWL global rules and regulations. Players need to be 18 years old of age on the day he’s registering, on top of all other above mentioned restrictions.

I don’t have a PlayStation 4, copy of Call of Duty: WWII or PSN Plus subscription. Can you help?

During online tournaments/qualifiers, you will not be provided with any of the above. Each of your team members will need to play with their own own PlayStation 4 console with valid PSN Plus subscription with the game.

During live events, you will be provided a seat where you will be playing with your teams on PLG-owned PlayStation 4 including Call of Duty: WWII, a standard PlayStation 4 controller, a low latency monitor, and dedicated headsets. It is up to you to bring your own headset and approved controller. Custom controllers with remapping function and such will not be allowed, only original PlayStation 4 controllers with the exception of the PlayStation 4 Scuf Controllers.
