PLG Nationals Spotlight: Valour eSports

Another week, another series of PLG Nationals Spotlight. If you’ve followed a bunch of our previous tournaments, then you’ve probably heard of Valour eSports, one of the of the two teams that have qualified to the regional finals of the PLG Nationals Overwatch Tournament Series, after reaching the finals of the country at the PLG Arena powered by Omen by HP.

Established in March 2016, Valour eSports is a specialized organizations in the field of electronic sports and seeks talents for many games, now boasting four teams for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Call of Duty, Overwatch and Hearthstone. The club has collected numerous notable awards, including Championship title for the 2016 Call of Duty World League Middle East Tournament at the PLG Arena in Yas Island,

Jason Mann, CEO of the club and founder, has been an avid fan of competitive games for more than seven years, playing the like of League of Legends and Call of Duty. He worked previously with UK-Based Zenix eSports in 2014 until the club disbanded a year later, but his long-lasting passion for the world of eSports pushed him to form Valour eSports, and try to bring as many local and regional talents from the region under one banner, to help them to train, grow and accomplish goals.

Since we’re focusing on their recent accomplishement in the PLG Nationals, we decided to give the spotlight to the Overwatch team, consisting currently of Ian ‘Nairo’ Njoroge (DPS + Captain), Yarden ‘Dersa’ Kumar (Tank), Ethan ‘Eclipse’ Tang (Off-Tank), Mohamad ‘Janitor’ Ataya (Support and In Game Leader), Mustafa ‘FanGG’ Abedalmutaleb (Support). While the team is still looking for one new players to fit in the last missing spots, they already competed in local tournaments, reaching second place at the 2017 ASUS ROG Trials of Champions, and second at the PLG Nationals with Overwatch UAE qualifier tournament.
