PLG Nationals Spotlight: Evolve Gaming

Another week, another series of PLG Nationals Spotlight, and this time we bring you Evolve Gaming, one of the teams that participated in the PLG Nationals with Overwatch Tournament for the UAE, finishing first and qualifying to the Regional Finals after winning 3-0 against their compatriots Damage Controll in the GCC & Levant Bracket Finals back in May.

Abdulaziz Al-Sabah (one of the founders of the team), who also plays in the Overwatch roster, tells us about his passion for games that began from the early days of the original PlayStation. As he grew up, he started finding acquiring a certain preference to competitive games, including League of Legends, CS: GO and eventually Overwatch, which in late 2016, decided with his friend Nasser “Toxin” Al-Rujaib to create a team.

Founded in January 2017, Evolve Gaming as an eSports club only competes as an Overwatch teams, but Nasser hopes to add more game divisions. So far, their most notable achievements was being crowned champion of the NVIDIA GeForce Cup Overwatch back in April, Second place in the MEGL Ramadan Cup and most recently grand winners of the Bahrain edition of the NVIDIA GeForce Cup during Animania 2017.

Evolve Gaming current roster consists of Abdulaziz “Ubk” Alsabah, Nasser “Toxin” Al-Rujaib, Abdulwahab “Poko” Alzaabi, Salem “Shortypops” Alkhalaf, Abdullah “Lorpq8″ Al-Otaibi, Salem “Deadline” Al-Dossari, Sami “Sam” Hamory.

Abdulaziz Al-Sabah hopes that his team will win the first season of the PLG Nationals with Overwatch Tournament Series Regional Finals, especially since there are many other good teams that they would like to compete such as their rivals Yalla eSports, Osh-Tekkwarriors, Valour eSports.
