Another week, another series of PLG Nationals Spotlight, and this time we bring you ArchNemesis, one of the teams that are currently playing in the PLG Nationals CS:GO Tournament Series second season, who are going to play in the grand finals against Jordan’s Chosen5.
ArchNemesis is one of the top teams in Saudi Arabia when it comes to CS:GO. The origins of this team are back to the days of Counter Strike 1.6, with current team captain Mohannad ‘Ninjas’ Abdullah joined was invited by Majed ‘VenoM’ Harden to join the roster of ArchNemesis, leaving his old crew at SNB, as they aimed to become the best team in Saudi Arabia for CS:GO.
Muhannad believes, the biggest achievement for this team so far is to win the U43 in 2012, where they described as able to meet many of the strong teams at GCC, and managed to win it with the currently active roster of Mohannad ‘Ninjas’ Abdullah (Team Captain), RayaN ‘RayaN’ Mamdouh (AWPer), Abdulmajeed ‘Viking’ Saleh (Lurker), Yousef ‘Leetroy’ Hejazi (Entry / Support), Fawaz ‘N1ex’ Al-Harbi (Entry) and Abdullah ‘wez’ Al-Busayyes (Substitute).
Currently in the second season of the PLG Nationals, they managed to reach all the way to the semifinal rounds, where they met one of the top 10 best CS:GO teams in region: AimersAlive from Iraq. While the later lost in 2-1 set and will meet KSA’s SaudiCom in the bronze match, ArchNemesis still believe it was their most difficult challenge in this qualifier. Now their last challenge is today, as they face off Chosen5 even if both are qualified already to the PLG Pro Tour.
