PLG Nationals Injustice 2 Regional Finalist: Hussein “BlackCat” Ahmed

As we get closer to the PLG Nationals Injustice 2 Championship Series Regional Finals, where the top 8 players from around the region’s numerous qualifier will battle for a prize pool of $5000, we decided to shed the spotlight on our current confirmed finalists, continuing with one of the two Kuwaiti nationals in the tournament: Hussein “BlackCat” Ahmed. Qualified from the Kuwait Live Qualifier powered by ExtravaGaming, Hussein training hard for the regional finals and aiming for the win and get back at his compatriot after his loss in his country finals. Will he become the Injustice 2 crowned champion for the Middle East this year?

How are you training for the upcoming regional finals of the PLG Nationals Injustice 2 Tournament Series?

I play many internet based daily games to gain experience and learn more about the many different character match ups.

How do you pick your characters in the online qualifier and upcoming regional finals?

I love to play with Catwoman, because I am comfortable with her style of play, and kind of linked to my nickname. I also love playing as Atrocitus, as he’s a great way to put pressure on any competitor, and the games are always brutal with him.

Who are you looking forward to playing against in the regional finals?

I eventually would like to play against all the players, but on the top of the list is the Bahraini finalist Abdullah “Undertaker” Saleh, as well as my compatriot Osman “Nazova” Al-Rashid, to make up for my loss against him in the Kuwait qualifiers finals.

What was your most memorable moment from the qualifiers you competed in?

Probably when I chose to play with Catwoman against Aquaman in the the semi-final of the Kuwait qualifier, and the result was 2-0 for my oponent Abdul Rahman Al-Kandari. I then turned around to choose my secondary character which is Atrocitus, and was able to turn the tides and finish the game with a 3-2 and qualify to the country finals and regional finals.

Are you confident that you have the skills to represent your country and win in the regional finals?

Of course, I think I am confident enough and have the skills to compete with other players from other countries to make my nation and family proud.

While three different qualifiers may have ended, the fight is far from over, with the upcoming UAE Live Qualifier. Registration is live right now on our website (coming soon this month of July), and is your last chance to reach one of the last 2 spots in the regional finals. For all the latest information about the PLG Nationals Injustice 2 Tournament Series, you can follow us on on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, as well as the official or you can also click here to visit the dedicated PLG Nationals Injustice 2 Tournament Series page.
