PLG Nationals Injustice 2 Regional Finalist: Abdullah “Undertaker” Saleh

As we get closer to the PLG Nationals Injustice 2 Championship Series Regional Finals, where the top 8 players from around the region’s numerous qualifier will battle for a prize pool of $5000, we decided to shed the spotlight on our current confirmed finalists, continuing with the second Bahraini national competitor so far: Abdullah “Undertaker” Saleh. Qualified from the Bahrain Qualifier, Abdullah’s journey in PLG’s tournaments reached a great path, by reaching the top 8 of the Mortal Kombat X Middle East Cup in 2016, and now aiming to reach further in with Injustice 2 like his younger brother and regional finalist Sayed “Tekken Master” Hashim. Will he become the Injustice 2 crowned champion for the Middle East this year?

How are you training for the upcoming regional finals of the PLG Nationals Injustice 2 Tournament Series?

I always practice and train with my brothers (Hani Saleh and Sayed “Tekken Master” Hashim), so we improve our skills together and gain more experience in the use of a certain characters. We usually train around 3 to 5 hours a day either online, at our house and sometimes with our friends.

How do you pick your characters in the online qualifier and upcoming regional finals?

I always chose the character which has the ability to defeat or counter the other player character’s weaknesses, and I always trust in my choices and picks.

Who are you looking forward to playing against in the regional finals?

I played against many of the players who have qualified for the regional finals, but I look forward to meet Baraa “Shark Teeth” Al-Jaadi, as is a good player and I expect it will be a fun game if we end up paired against each other.

Both Bahraini brothers will join their good friend and compatriot Aziz “XAzeez” Aljowder in the PLG Nationals Injustice 2 Tournament Series Regional Finals

What was your most memorable moment from the qualifiers you competed in?

There were many special moments in this tournament, especially like ending up playing in the finals against my brother (Sayed “Tekken Master” Hashim), and catching up with our friends from the fighting game community.

Are you confident that you have the skills to represent your country and win in the regional finals?

Yes, I have the confidence to honor my country in all tournaments. I will do my best for Bahrain and my family as well.

What is your favorite character(s) in Injustice 2, and your latest competitive gaming accomplishment?

I like a lot of Injustice 2 characters, but if I were to talk about a favorite, I always play with Deadshot. My latest achievement other than reaching the PLG Nationals Injustice 2 Championship Series Regional Finals is winning second place at Kuwait Battle Royal Mortal Kombat XL tournament, where I beat Shark Teeth.

While three different qualifiers may have ended, the fight is far from over, with the upcoming UAE Live Qualifier. Registration is live right now on our website (coming soon this month of July), and is your last chance to reach one of the last 2 spots in the regional finals. For all the latest information about the PLG Nationals Injustice 2 Tournament Series, you can follow us on on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, as well as the official or you can also click here to visit the dedicated PLG Nationals Injustice 2 Tournament Series page.
